HERMANA HIGHLIGHTS

The Alpha Rho Chapter is invited to perform at BSA's "The Source" every school year. "The Source" is an event put on every year by the Black Student Alliance at UVa in order to kickstart the beginning of the year and to highlight different multicultural student organizations on grounds.

Hermanas Graduate

May 2020

Hermana Chloe (Spring '16) graduated from Clemson University with her Masters in Architecture.

 

Hermana Sarra (Spring '18), Hermana Brittney (Spring '18), and Hermana Kaitlyn (Spring '18) all graduated from UVA with their Bachelor degrees!  

Hermanas Get Awards!

August 2020

Hermana Vanessa Villalobos (Spring '13) received a scholarship for ranking top ten in her class at the Dental College of Georgia.

Hermana Jennifer Flores (Spring '19) received an outstanding emerging leader award from the UVA Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life.

The Alpha Rho chapter of Sigma Lambda Upsilon is proud to congratulate both Carla Betancourt and Lissette Foster with $250 scholarships for our SLU Literacy Scholarship. 

Alpha Rho Takes Home 2 Awards!

The Alpha Rho Chapter won 2 awards from the UVA Office or Fraternity and Sorority Life for 'Most Improved Chapter' and 'Outstanding Community Service.'

SLU has proudly started the LADYS Program in Charlottesville! The mission of the LADYS (Leadership, Advancement, and Development of our Young Sisters) Mentorship Program is to encourage sisterhood and academic excellence amongst young women, promote service to the community within our participants and incite pride within our culture.
